Farmers seek global audience, to hold webinar on farm laws tomorrow | India News

NEW DELHI: In a bid to reach out to the global community, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) – the umbrella body of farm unions – on Thursday said it will organise a webinar on the issues behind their opposition to the three farm laws.
The farmers’ body also extended its support to the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by transport and trade unions on Friday.
It appealed to all farmers in the country to support “all the Bharat Bandh protestors peacefully and make the Bandh a success”.
Farmers have been sitting at Delhi’s borders since November 2020 protesting the three farm laws passed by the government. Eleven rounds of talks have been held between farmer representatives and the government without any breakthrough.
